aural vampire squee
i got to go to an awesome show tonight after spending the day out and
about seattle freezing my ass off in lolita. we went to picasso at SAM
and then sushi. then saw aural vampire play! (with two other bands and
the birthday massacre.) omg <3!!!! exo-chika and raveman are awesome!
exo-chika returned heart hands sign to kasa during the show and i took a
ton of photos. and then we got to meet them for signatures and all and
omg. squeeeeee! <3 spotted exo-chika later rocking out to the
birthday massacre, then raveman after the show was hanging around and i
gave him heart hands and he returned the gesture and was sooooooooo

nuuurrrrr
i just saw the midnight showing of harry potter and the deathly hallows part 1. i froze in line waiting for it, was in the background of a bunch of media shots, and had random weird little convos with the people around me. they gave us free popcorn while we waited. i froze. i waited from 730 until they finally let us in at just before 11pm. still confused as to why they only had one ticket taker. there's display cases with costumes now...they have a tron outfit. i'm so tired. i walked home because it was too late for a bus. some stupid girl and her boyfriend were behind me on the up hill portion of the trek. they kept being stupid talking about the movie. then they got in front of me about half way up and i pretty much got an eyeful of gross fat ass and panties. right where my natural spot of focus is to boot, so it was hard to walk along all tired and have to concentrate on looking elsewhere. the movie was great. i can't wait for the next one. yes, this was a total coincidence that i have friday off. i took it off for a day of getting some things sorted out, and then realized about a week later that the hp premier and reopening of the cinerama was tonight. total added bonus. especially since i'd not been to a midnight premier in ages. the last time was probably some other harry potter movie or was the last lotr one. i can't remember. i sleep now.

i wrote a story the other day. this means that, if someone asks me if i've written anything during nanowrimo, i can say yes, yes i have, i wrote a story about a cat. XD
story time!
Meet Fred.
Fred is a cat.
Fred likes to nap.
Naps in the sun
are lots of fun.
Fred plays tag with bugs,
and rolls around on the rug.
He chases mice
and laser lights.
Fred hates fleas, getting wet
and trips to the vet.
He watches the fish,
eats from a cute dish,
and watches the birds outside.
He cleans his face with his paws
and stalks jingling balls.
He won't wear a hat
(see last Christmas for that).
He purrs and he sheds
while he messes up the bed.
A quick scratch at the chair,
climb up the curtains,
hide on the top of the door
to swat at someone's hair.
Then off Fred goes
running, jumping, ricocheting,
bouncing around the house
before settling down.
Yak in some favored shoes,
then the center of the living room floor.
A dignified meow
to get some food.

year two photoshoot
so, i finally got to doing the year two photoshoot. yeah yeah, i know, over 7 months late...*sigh* this is what happens when i'm too busy and then i keep putting it off so i have all of the dolls home. ah well, at least it is done now.
a few things to keep in mind when viewing this: i'm not in the best health and the weather today was cruddy, so most of the photos are sadly not quite focused right. none of the pictures of the full group were in focus. :( all of the floating minifee heads (and versailles) have bodies and some have further items like wigs and eyes, but they aren't sporting them because the anniversary shoots aim to incorporate only what i have at the time of the anniversary. that being said, yes, this shoot probably has one or two items that i didn't have at that time. also, chade wasn't yet fully painted, didn't have his wig, nor the shorts he is wearing at the time of the year two anniversary. he gets to be a special exception.
other than that, there's not much else to know. i will have to get more pictures up soon, though. there were some portraits today that came out well enough that should be posted. plus there's several box openings and other shoots from earlier this year i need to post...eventually, promise. now, click on the cut to see the photos!!!

so, life has been pretty uneventful the past few days outside of work. just waiting on wig orders to arrive. yesterday was definitely the topper on my week...ran slightly late, but not so late i would miss a bus. missed the bus because it came early. mind you, the one i ended up catching was well over 10 minutes late. so got to work late and then got to have a wonderful day full of stuff. it wasn't really bad stuff to start off, just a lot of things and no time to really breathe. then, two hours until the end of the day, shit hit the fan and there were issues galore that we couldn't figure out. joy! especially when i then ended up staying late with no lunch and being in a wonderfully unresolved place with things. *sigh* oh well, at least there's nothing really going on this weekend...

did a photoshoot with the newest today. some of these seem repetitive, but it was my first actual shoot with her and i was playing with the lighting...
i know that i haven't really said anything about her here yet, but i was keeping her a secret since early june. that thing that went wrong and didn't actually get ordered from the manufacturer? yeah, that was her. -_- but she's here now and is wonderful! i've been playing with her since she arrived on the 20th and she's amazing. only thing not amazing is trying to find shoes for her...*sigh* anyway...this is my chic line lishe full set, dante morrigan. now, on to the photos!

combat baby
i decided it was time for a change. that being the case, i've changed the background from katie girl to at the cottage (both available on shabby blogs). i've also gone through and added cuts to the longer posts and photoshoots now that blogger has the feature (yay!). also expect to be adding more photos soon as i've been slowly working through the backlog. more than likely most of it will only be posted to here and resin+ as i get next to no response from anywhere else and don't really care to put all but some of the best items out there since it's barely worth the effort.
aside from that, i'm feeling a little blah and sick - neither of which is surprising seeing as my day on friday sucked balls. it was horrible. one thing after another coming up as issues and an 8.25 hour day with no lunch and the one break i took being an emotional wreck since it was spent talking to a friend about another mutual friend that i'm in not too good a mood about. too many things upsetting me about the whole situation there, and nothing i feel i can do about it without things blowing up in my face and jeopardizing other friendships that i don't want to lose. it makes me sad that the person involved is a drama queen and willingly plays the victim at the drop of a hat.
anyway, i'm gonna go and continue to be depressed now...

lazy park day
had a lazy day at the park sunday before last with kireix. was nearly 100 out, but had just enough of a breeze to be perfect for just hanging out. we dipped our feet in the wading pool at the park after visiting a street fair for delicious food, then whiled away the rest of the afternoon taking pictures of our darlings. :) enjoy the pictures, but be warned that this post is extremely image heavy!!!

so, this past month has been an extremely busy one. I went on a trip and got a new doll and things are only maybe just starting to settle down. I need to get pictures processed and up asap, too!
anyway...this isn't really supposed to be a post about all of that. no, the purpose of this post is to cry a little. T_T I just got an email advising me that something I ordered back in early june wasn't actually placed on order as it should have been. I should have received it this week but, instead, am left with wondering if I will even be getting exactly what I ordered. I'd been looking forward to finally receiving my order, instead I'm left wanting to scream and cry. really, I understand that certain things can happen, but why wasn't this discovered sooner? undoubtedly it took the rest of the orders placed to the manufacturer at the time mine should have been arriving at the company before they realized the order was left out. T_T

so anyway. i'm still waiting on beefcake and replacement shoes. the shoes only just made it back to korea thanks to the weirdness of international shipping. i mean, wtf? two weeks??? -_- i checked in on beefcake with the company to find out when he should ship out as it has been 50 business days since order/payment and was told that they will be shipping him the third week of july with expected arrival to me the fourth week. great. i'm gone when they expect him to arrive to me! suck.

i've forgotten...
...what i was going to say. i've been so busy lately that every blog post i've meant to do has been forgotten before i could even start.
today i did a movie double header with a friend. we saw the a-team and then prince of persia. the a-team was so awesome! they did great with the casting - everyone was as close in looks and spot-on with the characters as possible. they had references and homages to the original series, the story was updated perfectly (unlike in some cases where it is just faaaar too out of place to do so), and i was pretty much wanting to cheer all the way through. :) as for prince of persia, it was wonderful. lots of beautiful shots, a good script, great adaptation from the game, and omg jake. hawt! both movies had scott pilgrim vs the world previews - each different. you know it's bad when you can quote along with a trailer that you've maybe seen once before and you've not read the comic in several years... -_- *is sooooooooooooooooooo excited for the movie!* also saw a trailer for tron! yay! so gonna see it! and there was an older airbender trailer...but i'm so going to that anyway! :)
on the doll front i'm still waiting on beefcake. *sigh* hopefully he arrives home soon...i'm sick of waiting! abadon has been and gone off for a full treatment. i'm a little over half done with my layaway on him (yay for buying dolls from friends). i've sent him off last weekend with kasa so she can work on him soon. i can't wait! he's so much more awesome in person. :) and the armor? omg! it's wonderfully detailed!!! kasa has her work cut out for her, but i think it is something that she will enjoy doing. i did get in my leeke order on monday and can't be happier with the wigs. they're both gorgeous! the colors are so awesome! the spring mint one even matches one of my wigs for lolita! :D also got an order from bambicrony. suuuuuper fast shipping there! paypal hadn't even confirmed the payment went through and it shipped out! sadly, the shoes i'd ordered came in the wrong size. i'd love to keep them, but really need the size i ordered them in. i will more than likely order the size i got in the future. (i sent them back today.)
hopefully i can do a nine9 style order soon. then i have group orders planned for dollmore and luts this summer. really hope those are successful...
oh! total awesomeness last weekend! i found the unoa freak 2 book at kinokuniya!!! :D sooooo happy! i so want more pattern books. especially ones for slim minis. what i really should do is just start making more of my own.

so...too tired to think up some super intelligent post this late at night. went and saw iron man 2 after a full day at work. it rocked. omg sooooooo good!!! and they had trailers for the a-team and last airbender! the last airbender one looked even better on the big screen!!! i soooo can't wait! they also had prince of persia (mmmmmmmm *drools*), the next jj abrams movie, and some leonardo dicaprio movie that looks interesting but i can't tell if i wanna see it because i'm not that into him.

i swear i'm alive...
just been really busy with stuff. had several weeks of being busy trying not to get sick and trying to get things ready for friends visiting for sakura-con. now i actually have time to myself! for the first time in the past year i don't have any solid plans until months down the line. no impromptu trips possibly on the horizon or anything of the sort. i'm just floating along with the only definite things being work monday through friday and a trip in july. that's it. it feels amazing! right now i have a ginormous pile of stuff that has been being put off for the past year: photos to get edited and up; books and manga to read; webcomics to catch up on; dolls to get prettied up...i can actually start working on it!!!! :D sooooooooooo excited!

a small happiness
something personal i feel like sharing as it makes me feel good beyond belief: my dad found 3 large plastic tubs full of stuffed toys in our garage today. these consist of a small portion that are my parents, nearly all of my brother's, and at least half of my collection. nearly all were made by my grandparents. they are extremely precious because of this and because of the love put into their creation. mind you, they have been missing for 10 years. yup, missing. i thought my batshit crazy grandmother (the same one who helped make them in the first place >_<) had either tossed them or taken them off to the thrift when she was here while my mom was in the hospital for a few months. (swear to whatever powers there may be, the woman is batshit and created a "game" - even left a note to my parents about it - for my parents to find stuff that she's squirreled away about the house. yes, many things are still missing and many still being found as in the case in point.) i was so happy when my dad told me today that he found them. he was dumbfounded as he thought they were gone forever as well. anyway, just felt like sharing my small happiness.

two years along...
so today is the two year anniversary of winter and azerian arriving. currently they are stuck away in my doll bag as i've been kept busy the past few days. that's okay though, i've decided to postpone the yearly pictures for this year as one of my dolls is out being done up.
yes, that's right, azerian is home! he arrived back on january 25th and has pretty much been hogging demaius's body ever since. i missed him so much and am so sad that he is currently still blank. i don't think i'm going to be sending him out for quite some time just because i have a ton of other dolls to work on, and i really want him home for a while.
as for the one that i'm delaying photos for...well...chade is currently away with candygears for a complete faceup and body blushing. she's working on him and, once he returns home, i will be taking the photos. the delay shouldn't really be more than a few weeks, so that is okay in my book. i've been in the process instead this weekend of working on the various pictures that i have pending. i've managed to pull all the photos off my camera from the past month or so and have been working at making sure that i have all the shoots set out that i need to get up from the past year. that should get me through until chade is back. :)
i will have to try and post again this week and recap what fun i had this past week, but for now, i need to get going! so much to do, so little time! <3 all my dolls and can't believe that i have 23 (including floating heads, not including various extra bits) home and am waiting on another! (oh yeah...waiting on bodies for the three floating minifee heads and a mnf rheia! more about that later!) taaa~
yes, that's right, azerian is home! he arrived back on january 25th and has pretty much been hogging demaius's body ever since. i missed him so much and am so sad that he is currently still blank. i don't think i'm going to be sending him out for quite some time just because i have a ton of other dolls to work on, and i really want him home for a while.

wishes for fishes
right now i'm wishing for a bunch of things...but, well, if wishes were fishes i'd live in the sea. ;) most of all i just wish that azerian would be sent back to me. i've been trying to get him sent back for a bit now and...nothing yet. i'd love to have him home and to be able to just move on with him. i've a bunch of other dolls to work on but haven't had the time when motivated. thinking about it just now, i've not really done much of anything with working on the new ones since sending him off. :(
if i were able to get him home, i'd have to concentrate on getting him a body, then good hair and an outfit. right now i'd be getting him the type 3 delf boy body. i have a wig for him, but it isn't so great...so i'm thinking maybe this would be good for him:

random realization
hello 2010, i swear i meant to blog sooner. haha this past week was way too draining for me to remember to do so though. -_-
okay...just a quickie. so far 2010 has been good to me. some ups, some downs, all in all mostly ups. i finished off a nice week+ at home with the parents, then got my fl package last monday afternoon so got to play some before going back to work tuesday. went back tuesday to interviews for a new position in a department that is being created at work. i've known i was getting the position since i was told to apply for it, so wasn't surprised to be offered it officially a few days later. i must say that it is strange when you're interviewing for a position that you pretty much have and when the people interviewing you don't have any questions for you. XD
anyway...so yeah, i now have most of my dolls i was waiting for home. only waiting on dade's head now. why's that? well...dde sent me a second scar breakaway head and scar hand instead of the scar shiwoo and scar arm set as well as a wrong pair of hands. so i emailed them and they sent out replacements immediately. got the arm and the correct hands just fine. the head? yeah...another breakaway. so fired off another email to them and they pulled a head and emailed me on friday saying which one they'd pulled and checking to make sure it was correct. yeah...not so much. -_- yet another breakaway head. so replied and told them no, it's the other head. they've now pulled and sent the right head and i'm just waiting on it. apparently they have a bunch of the heads mislabeled. D: in any case, dade should be here tomorrow or the next day. :) then i get to send everything back that was sent in error.
so yeah...woooo. anyways. once dade arrives i won't be waiting on any dolls or bits for the first time in over a year! soooo weird. though i will probably be buying a head...which reminds me, i need to go pm the seller...toodles!
