c-line

so...too tired to think up some super intelligent post this late at night. went and saw iron man 2 after a full day at work. it rocked. omg sooooooo good!!! and they had trailers for the a-team and last airbender! the last airbender one looked even better on the big screen!!! i soooo can't wait! they also had prince of persia (mmmmmmmm *drools*), the next jj abrams movie, and some leonardo dicaprio movie that looks interesting but i can't tell if i wanna see it because i'm not that into him.

okay. on to my repost of what i wrote in a doll forum i'm a part of.

"okay...randomly gonna address things said already in this thread, so please bear with...

the c-line is only 2cm shorter than the current a-line and b-line minifee. i can see the similarity to fashion dolls and do not doubt that doa will do one of two things: declare them off topic by labeling them fashion dolls, or will cave because there are so many fl fans that they would rather not upset their user base too much. (the last would be a miracle.)

fairyland IS NOT marketing the c-line as fashion dolls. they only ever refer to them as ball jointed dolls. i'm sick of seeing people in discussion elsewhere acting like fl is a huge disappointment because they've added a refined line of realistic msd dolls. i liked seeing someone mention over on doa earlier today that it is like iple adding the sid line in addition to the eid line and also that it is like hybridizing a mnf body with an iple yid head.

yes, they will have different body options. fl states that. i definitely see 3 girl busts at the least. they even say that they will be offering a special headback connector for the ltf line (that will be weird to see if any of those heads end up on the c-line bodies) and are currently working on connectors for the mnf heads. i'm curious if the c-line is faceplates or a different method of connection than the one-touch since they have to make a different connector for the mnf. in any case, i am curious about how a mnf head will look on the new line and also what option parts they will offer. (fairyland doing fantasy parts? oh dear...)

feeple60 *sigh* there have been questions asked about it over the past few months that have received the answer that they are still working on the line. personally, i think that they're running into trouble with luts not wanting to give up the lucrative delfs. really, el is the best seller over there, so it is highly doubtful they will give up the line without a fight despite cp having the copyright to the sculpts. (luts has confirmed all of that information, it is not just hear-say.) i was thinking about it earlier and think that some small part of them making the c-line is to see what type of reaction and such they will get in making realistic styled dolls before possibly making them in a larger size.

the chic line naming fits in with the a and b lines of minifee, but is possibly split out due to the differences of more realism and that they will be making it possible to use either ltf or mnf heads as well. basically it seems that even fl is marketing the 40cm c-line as being a stepping stone between the two - so distinct from the mnf, but still closely linked in name and size, etc.

i think that they mixed up the lishe and ino pictures...the first girl looks very much like lishe to me. but this is just me pretty much yammering away with no proof. (someone asked, and yes, the third girl in the red is the des - just look at that chin!)

the boys will have bits, do not fear cat. as for them being able to move, i doubt that.

kasa - go to fl and leave them a suggestion on the q&a board. seriously. it will not hurt to do so. fl is one of the companies that actually listens to their customers. they just released new hands for the ltf based off of a fan letter! they have responded time and again to add things that they have seen people talking about and that people have asked about. they don't always do everything, but they have done a lot over the years. the c-line has probably been in development for quite some time now, so probably happened before it, but they did a survey a few months back in order to find out what their fans like and want. i'm sure that there were quite a few people asking for an upgrade to the jointing in the feeple line and for the feeple60 line to be released (i know i was one of those people).

as for clothing, well, there's no lack. the existing mnf lines are slim already and fit well into fashion doll clothing, so i've no doubt that the c-line will fit the same stuff. even if doa deems them off topic (very likely), anyone who gets one will not have to worry about clothing. all the dollmore fashion doll stuff will probably fit as well as stuff from lines like ashton drake and tonner. (i shiver to add tonner as i've already seen too many people say that they are exactly like tonners and basically imply that they are supposed to be exactly like tonner dolls. i'm so happy that no one here has likened them to those since tonner is not the be-all, end-all of fashion dolls.)

okay...now that i've spewed forth a bunch of stuff that's been running around in my head all day, let me just say that i like them. i am overjoyed that fl is finally doing a realistic type of doll. i've wanted to see what they could do with realism and i am so not disappointed. i don't know how well the ltf heads will go on these bodies, but maybe they will have a few options out in the future that make the option make more sense. i hope that they do add fantasy parts and other parts to use in customizing the line. i hope that the feet are not super tiny so that i can maybe get a pair of high heel feet for winter. i do wonder what the event will be in conjunction with this release and also if they will be doing an autumn event again instead of the summer one. okay...i'm gonna shut up now and go sit in the corner over there mumbling to myself. thank you to anyone who actually bothered to read my epic post. sorry that this is so long...normally i don't tend to be so wordy... silent"
