so it's been a while since i've really blogged on here. i've been meaning to for quite a while, but life gets in the way. well...work does mostly...

so anyway. i'm still waiting on beefcake and replacement shoes. the shoes only just made it back to korea thanks to the weirdness of international shipping. i mean, wtf? two weeks??? -_- i checked in on beefcake with the company to find out when he should ship out as it has been 50 business days since order/payment and was told that they will be shipping him the third week of july with expected arrival to me the fourth week. great. i'm gone when they expect him to arrive to me! suck.


at least i'll be gone for a good reason. i'm looking forward to the new orleans/las vegas trip. it's going to be tons of fun! i get to go three places i've not been before as we have layovers in houston both ways. not enough time to go out and see anything, but still. i'm excited about flying again since it's been nearly 21 years since i last did, but i'm nervous about going through security. is it sad that i'm more apprehensive about security than flying? i mean, i have a fear of heights and yet i'm perfectly fine with flying. always have been. :| maybe it comes from flying so often when i was younger?

things are going well on resin+. we'll reach seven months next week and have a good amount of people signed up with a good amount of posting for such a new and small community. i'm rather sad though at how many sign up and then never come back. there's a confirmation email that goes out, so i don't know if it gets caught by spam filters (probably) and/or people just don't care to come back and try to sign in. *sigh*

i spent the weekend hanging out with kireix this past weekend. there was a nice small meet at oasis on saturday and then we spent most of the rest of the weekend working on our shiwoos. they've officially entered the "no one will see them until they are finished" stage. well, my shiwoo will be seen when i finally get to do the year two photos...but not again after that until he is finished. :) i'm so excited with them! i really wish that we could be done right away just so i could show off what we've done so far!!! but, alas, i cannot. ;)

speaking of year two photos...they seem to be becoming year two and a half photos. XD i've put them off so long as i first didn't have time, and then decided to wait for chade to return. hopefully i can pick him up tomorrow or next weekend at the meet. once he's back, everyone is getting dressed up nice and photos will happen. i swear they will! i have nearly four gigs of photos to offload onto my computer. i've been quite remiss in doing anything with photos for a while and really need to try and take the time to work on them. i have a whole folder of photos to finish up and get loaded to photobucket and share.

i've a lot of things to do it seems. -_- comics and books i want to catch up on, photos to edit and post, projects to work on, dolls to paint and get finishing touches for. *sigh* at least i'm trying to get stuff to finish them up and only really have one more doll planned for the year. i hope to get a mnf des in the autumn. maybe i'll also get a body for demonia at that time or around the end of the year as well. planned purchases for the next few months are dollmore and luts group orders, as well as possibly a nine9 style one privately. we'll see about that last one...

i'm rather upset that the last airbender didn't get into imax. fuck you twilight, you are a piece of shit and could have made more money with a later release in imax. *hates*

i bought more pattern books last weekend. i couldn't resist. there are some great patterns in them and i can justify them in that they range from petite blythe up to unoa, so there's at least two sizes of patterns therein that i can use as-is, and i can just size and alter for any that they don't fit. i'm hoping to find some (sadly out of print) books as well. i want pretty much anything queer dream and quite a few dolly bird book/mooks. *crosses fingers that at least some can be found*

oh, fun thing last week: i tried to update my iphone to ios4 last wednesday night and itunes kept having errors. so, for the first one, followed the instructions on the apple site and restarted my computer. then ended up with another error at the end of trying to update that said itunes couldn't connect to the store. this is despite the fact that i could click on the store and get right in and my apps were real time updating info to show which had new versions available. so was up until far too late trying to get it to work. then tried thursday night to fix the problem. went through soooooo much documentation and forum stuff and found others with the same problem, but no solutions. i tried pretty much everything i could. not even hard restarts did. itunes just kept giving the same error every time i hooked up my phone. T_T so yeah, ended up going in to the apple store friday evening and getting it fixed. they didn't think i'd get to slip in between appointments very quickly, but i pretty much had time to sit down at a laptop, open safari, and pull up the gmail logon and a tech was walking up to help. then i had enough time to check my email, delete spam, look at two new messages, and log out before she was back with everything fixed and ios4 installed. she then talked to me for a few minutes and started with telling me that the update was "massive" and was "like putting your computer back together and misplacing a few screws." yeah...i told her it was more like misplacing your hdd and that i am very aware that it was a pretty big rewrite of the os. she then tried to make it seem like a possible error on my part or my computer. she went to far as to imply i may have answered a call or interrupted the update. yeah. no. i told her it was an error in itunes that multiple people had and told her exactly what had happened. she was surprised. i'm just glad that she was able to get my phone out of the frozen state it was in and that i was able to get everything back on without any noticeable losses. way to go being anal about syncing and backing up before trying any updates!!!
