lately i've been spending a lot of time at the home of the herd. it's 5 weeks old and it seems like much longer since the active members have really seemed to bond and since we all have very similar tastes. :) it's amazingly fun and a wonderful group. already in this time, i've connected one new friend with a new doll for her - the weird doll who is reaching epic proportions - and have another project from her to create a puki version of her original sd doll orchid (artist doll, ooak and all that). i'm looking forward to the puki project - baby orchid. it just keeps growing! i've already got things from her and ideas out the door about what to do. she'll end up having at least one box "room" that i will need to start working on.
oh! i also got an amber! one of the lovely ladies of the herd managed to snag one up for me! :D she'll be coming completely blank. i've ideas already of her faceup and hope that i can figure out the rest of both her and heliot. heliot, the poor boy, still doesn't even have a solid name. i've only a few payments left on them and then i'll just have to wait for them to arrive. i'm thinking they'll show up in late june or early july. *crosses fingers*
i had the fun chance this weekend to hang out with a doll meet friend from doa. we've been chatting more since the last meet and on saturday went to the annual doll show in puyallup. we had tons of fun and hung out at her place afterwards watching movies and playing with birds and kitties and dolls. :) we both have similar collections - minifees, littlefees, pukis, and 2008 nanuris. it's lovely to finally have some doll friends! especially to have some in the area to hang out with on occasion as well! up to now i've only really had ks and we're both busy with different schedules. T_T i miss hanging out with her!
oh! i'm going to sakura-con! :D FINALLY!!! i always say i'll go and then i never do...but this year i know some people who are going (*pokes at ks*) and have the time and all for it. :D sooooo excited! i was hoping to cosplay...but i just haven't spent time on anything so am not going to bother. been far too busy with working and doing other things in my spare time.
i'd told my mom i was going to be going to the doll show a few weeks back and she told me to find her the original barbie with brunette ponytail and her stripped swimsuit. she told me she didn't care how much it cost - even $100. well...within minutes of entering the show i'd found a booth with two of the 35th anniversary reproductions for $10 each, so i got one! and then proceeded to find two other booths selling them for between $27 and $55. and then i found the booth with several originals and checked the price on one - $800!!! so yeah...called mom on the way back across the sound and told her and she was absolutely delighted. totally made her day, so it was great. :)
there was a trunk show in february, too. that was fun. there weren't that many people, but i got az's eyes there (soom eyes...i think they're neonviolet...but totally pretty and sooooo much cheaper than on their site) as well as some pants for him and a nightshirt that the person selling the pants gave me. so he'll at least have something to wear! :) i had lots of fun at the meet and apparently tempted everyone there with lavinia. ^__^ at the show i even got a sleeping flora plate - yes, it is really a flora this time! i've done my first full eye opening on it as well, so now reese has a dreaming face! i <3 href="http://s259.photobucket.com/albums/hh290/shinigaminoai/littlefee/ruaidhri/?action=view¤t=100_1998.jpg" target="_blank">
